Baraboo in Spring Landscape for Stellarium
=================++++++++++===============

Description
-----------

This landscape is a third version of a landscape I made several years
ago with photos taken from my yard in Baraboo, Wisconsin, USA.
The first and second versions (named "baraboo" and "baraboo2") and this
update were taken from the same location and even include the same dog!
My son, now a teenager, can be seen near the house unloading patio
furniture (a Mother's Day gift) from a trailer.

I used a camera on a tripod positioned directly above a brand new concrete
pier my son and I constructed earlier in the day. I took a series of photos
making sure the edges overlapped. Then I used the Hugin to make one very
wide photo by blending the edges together, making color corrections, and
making the whole thing seamless. Next I used Gimp to mask the sky to make
it transparent. This image was chopped into eight square (2048x2048) images.
Finally, I created a "base" image for the ground, again at 2048x2048 pixels.

In this version I took more care to make sure the image is correctly
positioned so that the objects Stellarium shows are in their correct place
in the sky as they would appear from my new pier. The latitude and longitude
are correct in all versions, but I've fine-tuned the altitude and added the
light pollution (Bortle Scale 5) for this third attempt.
