Baraboo2 Landscape for Stellarium
================================

Description
-----------

This landscape is a second version of a landscape I made several years
ago called with photos taken from my yard in Baraboo, Wisconsin, USA.
The first version (named "baraboo") and this update were taken from the
same location and even include the same dog! My son, now a teenager,
declined the invitation to appear in this update.

I used a camera on a tripod and took a series of photos making sure the
edges overlapped. Then I used the Hugin to make one very wide photo by
blending the edges together, making color corrections, and making the
whole thing seamless. Next I used Darktable to make a mask that seperated
the sky from the land, and I applied the mask in Gimp to make the sky
transparent. This image was chopped into eight square (2048x2048) images.
Finally, I created a "base" image for the ground, again at 2048x2048 pixels.

In this version I took more care to make sure the image is correctly
positioned so that the objects Stellarium shows are in their correct place
in the sky. The latitude and longitude are correct in both versions, but
I've corrected an error in the altitude for this second attempt.
