Baraboo Landscape for Stellarium
================================

Description
-----------

This landscape was made with photos taken from my yard in Baraboo,
Wisconsin, USA. My son and our dog are in the photo as well.

I used a camera on a tripod and took a series of photos making sure the
edges overlapped. Then I used the Gimp to make one very wide photo by
blending the edges together and making color corrections. I cut a piece
of the photo from the left side and blended it in to the right side to
make the whole thing seamless. Next I made the sky transparent and
chopped the photo into eight square images. Finally, I created a "base"
image and re-sized them all to 256x256 pixels. I know there is
software out there for stitching together images, but the Gimp worked
well for me!
